One Piece Card Game, the TCG phenomenon launched by Bandai in 2022
The One Piece Card Game is a collectible card game published by Bandai since July 2022 in Japan and released in the French-speaking market in 2023. Built around the universe of Eiichiro Oda's manga, published since 1997, the game has become, in less than three years, one of the most dynamic TCGs on the global market, with an accessible rules structure, a steady release schedule, and a complex rarity system that appeals to both collectors and competitive players.
Structure of a One Piece Booster and Display Box
A One Piece booster pack in the international version (FR/EN) contains 12 cards, compared to 6 in the Japanese version. A standard display box contains 24 sealed booster packs, for a total of 288 cards per box. A Premium Booster Display (PRB) contains 20 boosters with higher hit ratios compared to standard boosters. Each display is sealed in rigid cardboard by Bandai at the factory, with a plastic film and a tamper-evident seal visible on the side cuts.
The One Piece Rarity System Explained
Bandai uses eight rarity levels identified by the code in the bottom left corner of each card. C (Common) and UC (Uncommon) are the basic cards, found in the majority of each booster. R (Rare) marks the intermediate rarity, with at least one card per booster. L (Leader) designates the central card of a deck, essential for building a playable list. SR (Super Rare) includes cards used in competitive play, with a holographic finish. SEC (Secret Rare) covers premium cards with alternative artwork in limited print runs. TR (Treasure Rare) includes highly sought-after "treasure" cards with special finishes. SP (Special) designates special finishes (embossed details, alternative foils). Finally, Manga Rares are ultra-rare cards with black and white manga-style artwork.
Pull Rates in a 24-Booster Display
Bandai does not officially publish pull rates. The data below are averages documented by the community over several hundred tracked display openings. There is approximately 1 Leader Card every 2 booster packs (10 to 12 Leader Cards per display), 1 Super Rare every 3 to 4 booster packs (approximately 7 SRs per display), and 1 Secret Rare every 3 displays (approximately 1 SEC for 72 booster packs). Alt-art and Manga Rares are even more specialized. These figures are trends, not guarantees: a "hot" display far exceeds these averages, while a "cold" display falls short of expectations.
The expansions available in our French catalog

The Extra Booster EB02 Anime 25th Collection pays tribute to the anime's 25th anniversary with iconic re-releases, while EB03 Heroines highlights emblematic female characters. Finally, PRB02 The Best Vol. 2 is a Premium Booster "best-of" with an increased hit rate.
French or English: The Practical Differences
One Piece booster packs and displays are printed by Bandai with the same pull structure, regardless of the language. The French version offers native readability and better liquidity in the French-speaking market. The English version benefits from broader international liquidity (eBay US, TCGplayer). Japanese cards follow a different format (6 cards per booster pack, 24 booster packs per display) and are not directly interchangeable in official tournaments.
