Binder, binder, portfolio: three words for the same category.
All three terms refer to storage solutions with transparent pages into which you slide your cards for viewing, storage, or transport. Ultra Pro uses the name PRO-Binder for its side-loading models, which reduce the risk of a card falling out while handling the binder. The word "portfolio" refers to the same category of items, but in a more collection-oriented context.

4, 9, and 12-pocket formats
4-pocket: ideal for displaying large-format cards, showcasing a compact deck, or highlighting a small collection
9-pocket: the TCG player's standard, 20 pages and capacity for up to 360 sleeved cards on the PRO-Binder Ultra Pro
12-pocket: a dense format, designed to archive a large collection on fewer pages

Standard or Zippered
Standard models close with a rigid cover and elastic band. Zippered models feature a three-sided zipper: cards stay in place even if the binder is turned upside down. Some premium models, like the Mornebrune Leather-Bound version, combine a leather-like cover and zipper closure for the long-term preservation of valuable collections.

Materials: PVC-free, archival-safe
Ultra Pro PRO-Binder pages are made of ultra-clear, PVC-free, and acid-free polypropylene. This composition prevents yellowing and degradation of cards over time. This is an important point for cards of collector value: a non-certified plastic binder can irreversibly damage the inks after a few months.
