Binder, portfolio: three words for the same family
All three terms refer to storage solutions with transparent pages into which you slide your cards for viewing, storage, or transport. Ultra Pro uses the name PRO-Binder for its side-loading models, which reduce the risk of a card falling out while handling the binder. The word "portfolio" refers to the same category of items, but in a more collection-oriented vocabulary.
4, 9, and 12-pocket formats
4-pocket: ideal for displaying large cards, showcasing a compact deck, or highlighting a small set
9-pocket: the TCG player's standard, with 20 pages and a capacity of up to 360 sleeved cards on the Ultra Pro PRO-Binder
12-pocket: a dense format, designed to archive a large collection on fewer pages
Standard or Zippered
Standard models close with a rigid cover and elastic band. Zippered models feature a three-sided zipper: cards stay in place even if the binder is turned upside down. Some premium models, like the Leather-Bound version of Mornebrune, combine a leather-like cover with a zipper closure for the long-term preservation of valuable collections.

Ultra Pro PRO-Binder pages are made of ultra-clear, PVC-free, and acid-free polypropylene. This composition prevents yellowing and long-term degradation of cards. This is crucial for collectible cards: a non-certified plastic binder can irreversibly stain the inks after just a few months.
