Unleashed is the third set for Riftbound, available in English starting May 8, 2026. The French version, titled Déchaînement (Unleashed), will arrive on July 31, 2026, alongside the French version of Spiritforged. The theme revolves around the jungle and predators of Runeterra, with an emphasis on ambushes, scaling, and the most dangerous creatures in the League of Legends universe. It is also the set that introduces the most mechanical changes since the game's launch.

The set contains over 220 cards and 30 alternate art pieces. Among the new champions are Vi, Vex, Master Yi, Diana, Rengar, Kha'Zix, Pyke, Inferna, Ivern, and LeBlanc. Each brings different archetypes, from Vi's pure aggression to Vex's patient control, and Rengar and Kha'Zix's predatory strategies.

Three new mechanics define the identity of Unleashed. The XP system is the most important: as the game progresses, your champions gain experience and level up. At certain milestones, they unlock new abilities. Master Yi, for example, costs less to play at level 3 and becomes immune to enemy spells at level 16. This mechanic rewards long-range play and planning.

Hunt is tied to map control. When a unit with Hunt conquers or holds a battleground, you gain the amount of XP indicated on the map. This is the primary loop for accumulating experience: you need to win battles to level up your champions.

Ambush allows you to play units in response to a contested battleground where you already have units. In League of Legends terms, it's ganking: you send reinforcements when the opponent least expects it. This mechanic punishes reckless attacks and adds a layer of bluffing to every engagement.

The big news for collectors is the Ultimate rarity. Baron Nashor is the only Ultimate card in Unleashed, with an appearance rate of less than 0.1% of booster packs. It's the rarest card ever printed in Riftbound.

In terms of products, Unleashed offers the most complete range to date. The 14-card boosters follow the usual distribution: 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 2 rare or better foil cards, 1 foil card of any rarity, and 1 token slot. The display box contains 24 boosters (reference UVSRB03BD01).

The Champion Decks feature Vi and Vex, two contrasting playstyles. The Vi deck (UVSRB03PD01) plays an aggressive game with unit buffs and constant pressure on the opponent's resources. Vi's ability triggers when a unit conquers a battlefield with 3 or more excess damage: it immediately reactivates one of your fatigued units. The deck revolves around Order and Fury runes with Bird/Gold tokens.

The Vex deck (UVSRB03PD02) takes the opposite approach. It's pure control: you slow down your opponent, force them into losing choices, and accumulate advantage turn after turn. Calm and Chaos runes support this approach, with Sprite/Buff tokens maintaining passive pressure. Each deck includes 56 cards, a paper playmat, a deck box, a booster pack, and a rulebook.

The Vault (UVSRB03VB01) is a new format introduced with Unleashed. It's a reusable storage box containing 6 booster packs, 36 basic runes (6 of each), 3 double-sided tokens, and 2 illustrated dividers. A good compromise between individual booster packs and a full display, with the added benefit of built-in storage.

Unleashed is also the set that launches the first structured competitive events: Pre-Rift on May 1st with an Ashe promo, followed by two Summoner Skirmish events on May 25th and June 22nd with participation and ranking promos.
