The Preconstructed Deck: The Official Entry Point to the Pokémon TCG
Preconstructed decks are the official entry point to the Pokémon Trading Card Game for any new player. Produced by The Pokémon Company International under direct license, they contain everything needed to play right out of the box: 60 balanced cards, a rulebook, damage counters, status markers, and a coin toss. Unlike booster packs, which are opened blind, the Preconstructed Deck guarantees a functional deck, tested by the game's designers and ready to play immediately.

The Five Types of Official Preconstructed Decks
Battle Deck (Standard format): 60 cards with a central theme Pokémon. Beginner to intermediate level. Usually contains a rare holographic card (V, ex, or V-STAR) and enough Energy cards to play right away.
League Battle Deck: A more competitive format, with 60 cards featuring decks similar to popular tournament Standard decks. Contains 2 to 3 Ultra Rare or Full Art cards, including the title card in V/EX/VSTAR form, and competitive staples. Comes with 65 themed card sleeves, a cardboard deck box, a paper playmat, and a strategy guide. The most complete format in the preconstructed line.
Rivalry Battle Deck: Two complete 60-card decks in one package, designed for two players who want to start playing together. Each deck is built around an iconic Pokémon with intentionally different strategies (fast offense versus control, for example) to create a natural rivalry from the very first game.
Build & Battle Box: Prerelease format. 4 booster packs + 23 evolution cards + 1 promo card. Used in stores during launch events, recognized as an official Limited format by The Pokémon Company International.
Trainer's Toolkit: Resource box with a selection of staple cards (basic energy cards, reusable trainer cards) to complete a personal deck. Not a deck playable on its own, but a complementary deck-building tool.

Focus on the League Battle Deck
The League Battle Deck is the best compromise for a player who wants to quickly access a deck close to tournament level, without having to rebuild it card by card. Each set features a recognized archetype from the Standard meta, with the key card already included. After purchase, there are generally 10 to 15 cards left to optimize to go from "casual league" to "competitive local tournament" level.
The included cards are legal in the Pokémon Standard format, subject to the official annual rotation published by The Pokémon Company International. This rotation occurs every year after the World Championships and removes the oldest sets from the competitive format.

The Rivalry Battle Deck, an ideal format for two players
This format is distinguished by its relational aspect: two players starting together (parent-child, friends, couple) open the same box and immediately have two balanced and asymmetrical decks. Each deck follows a different playstyle, creating a rich dynamic right from the first opening, without either player having to wait for the other to prepare.

Decks featured in our catalog:
Team Rocket Mewtwo ex League Battle Deck: a Psychic archetype based on the Team Rocket reboot, featuring a holographic Mewtwo ex title card.
Roaring Moon League Battle Deck: a Dark/Dragon archetype built around the paradox Pokémon Roaring Moon.
Original Palkia V-STAR League Battle Deck: a Water/Dragon archetype from the Sword & Shield series, with the V-STAR mechanic as its strategic core.
Rivalry Battle 2-Pack: Rosemary/Brock Rivalry Battle Deck: a two-player battle deck in a single box.

Uses: Play, Modify, Collect
Three buyer profiles, three distinct uses:
Play immediately: The deck is ready to play right out of the box, sleeves and accessories are included, no preparation is necessary.
Modify to scale up: Buying two identical decks allows you to double the key cards (staples, energy), then add 5 to 10 unit cards to reach tournament level.
Collect the title card: For a collector aiming for a specific V/EX/VSTAR, the preconstructed deck can be more economical than buying individual cards on the secondary market, and offers the added bonus of all the additional equipment.
