Some cards can only be opened in collector booster packs:

The boosters

  • Star Trek FR booster pack : 14 cards and 1 double-sided token, including 6 or 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 wild card, 1 rare or mythic rare, 1 premium card, and 1 land. This is the booster pack for draft and sealed decks. A Stardate card substitutes for a common card once every 25 times.
  • Lot of 10 Star Trek FR game boosters : between the single booster and the box of 30, enough to build a sealed deck with plenty of room.
  • Box of 30 Star Trek FR game boosters : the format for drafting with 8 players, which consumes 24 boosters.
  • Star Trek FR collector booster : 15 cards, including 5 rare or mythical rare cards, mostly Premium or Booster Fun cards, and one Commander Booster Fun card.
  • Lot of 3 Star Trek FR collector boosters : 3 guaranteed Fun Commander Booster cards, between the single booster and the box of 12.
  • Box of 12 collector boosters, in French or English : 60 rare or mythic rare cards, including 12 Commander Booster Fun cards.

What can be opened

According to the draw rates published by Wizards of the Coast:

  • In game boosters, the rare slot gives a mythic rare in 12.4% of cases, or roughly one booster out of eight;
  • A box of 30 game boosters gives on average 4 to 5 mythic rares and one Star Date card;
  • about one in two collector boosters contains a Star Date card, and a little over one in four contains an LCARS "shock" land;
  • with 3 collector boosters, the chances of opening at least one Star Date card rise to approximately 86%;
  • A box of 12 collector boosters gives on average 6 to 7 Star Date cards and 3 to 4 LCARS "shock" lands.

These are averages: a specific company may do better or worse.
