Welcome to Night City - Beta

Set 1 of the Cyberpunk TCG in English, non-reprintable Beta edition, on sale from September 10, 2026

Welcome to Night City is set 1 of the Cyberpunk TCG: 140 playable cards (60 commons, 32 uncommons, 32 rares, 12 epic rares, 4 secret rares) and 31 Iconic Rares with alternate artwork.
The Beta print run is the one used for the Kickstarter campaign and retailers who registered before May 1, 2026. Its cards bear a Beta symbol, and its 31 Iconic Rares will not be included in any other product.
The Beta display contains 36 booster packs instead of 24, with a box topper. WeirdCo has pledged never to reprint a set in the same configuration. English only, no French version.

The Welcome to Night City Beta draw
Welcome to Night City was printed twice. The Beta print run was for the Kickstarter campaign and retailers who placed orders before May 1, 2026, the final closing date of the partner program. The Retail print run was released on November 6, 2026. The 140 playable cards are identical in both: nothing changes in tournaments, and a Beta card is legal everywhere a Retail card is. The differences come down to five key points, and these are what determine the value of the UK boxes you find on this page.

A symbol that Retail will never have
Cards from the Beta printing feature a printed Beta symbol below the RAM icon in the upper right corner. This marker is not present on Retail products. It is also reflected in the official numbering: WeirdCo's card database references Beta printings with a β prefix, resulting in cards cataloged as β001 or β141 alongside their Retail equivalents 001 and 141. The two printings are tracked separately by collectors and databases.

Thirty-one illustrations that exist only here
Iconic Rares are the alternate-art versions of the cards in the set. The Beta print run contains 31 of them, numbered β141 to β171, divided into three blocks.
Issues β141 to β158 are eighteen Legends all entrusted to Pandart Studio, among them Adam Smasher: Ender of Legends, V: Streetkid, Dum Dum: Maelstrom Triggerman, River Ward: Detective on the Hunt, Rogue Amendiares: Preem Solo, Goro Takemura: Vengeful Bodyguard, Hanako Arasaka: Daughter of the Emperor, Jackie Welles: Mama's Favorite, Padre: Man of the Cross, Panam Palmer: Nomad Cavalry, Alt Cunningham: Soulkiller Architect, Evelyn Parker: Beautiful Enigma, Judy Álvarez: Braindance Maestro and Wakako Okada: Peace and Harmony.
Issues β159 to β167 bring together nine cards of other types, including Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat by Toni Infante, Alt Cunningham: Mother of Daemons and Sandayu Oda: Hanako's Guardian by Dardo Studios, Rogue Amendiares: Queen of the Afterlife, and the Program Towerfall by Adia.
The last four numbers, β168 to β171, are the Secret Iconic Rares, produced by Divebound Studio on the four Secret Rares in the set.
The retail version will have its own Iconic Rares, with different artwork. Therefore, an Iconic Rare Beta will have no equivalent in stores after November 6, 2026.

One box topper per display
Each Beta display contains a box topper, unlocked during the campaign at the $6 million and $8 million stretch goals. It features one of the six Legends from the starter decks, in an alternate illustration.
The three Arasaka cards—Yorinobu Arasaka: Embracing Destruction, Goro Takemura: Hands Unclean, and Saburo Arasaka: Stubborn Patriarch—form a triptych by Vincenzo Riccardi: placed side by side, their illustrations compose a single continuous image. The three mercenary cards—V: Corporate Exile, Jackie Welles: Pour One Out For Me, and Viktor Vektor: Sit Down and Relax—are by Ito of Kirby's Comic Art.

Thirty-six boosters instead of twenty-four, and no reprint
The Beta display contains 36 boosters, while the Retail display will contain 24. In a blog post published on August 7, 2026, WeirdCo stated that after adjusting its print runs to meet demand, "we will not reprint the same set or configuration again," clarifying that they were reprinting cards, not entire packs. Therefore, the 36-booster format of Welcome to Night City will not be reprinted.
Two honest points, because they matter to a buyer. WeirdCo has never published a print run figure: no one can say how many Beta displays exist. And the publisher guaranteed stores that registered on time their entire order, with a 20% restock bonus for those organizing events. The Beta's scarcity stems from its closed configuration and limited access window, not from any deliberate shortage.

English, and only English
All products from the Beta release are in English. WeirdCo has confirmed that French will be the first localization language, but only starting with the Retail products on November 6, 2026. There will never be a French Beta. For a French-speaking player, this is the only point to consider before buying: the card text is in English, and the game's vocabulary—Eddies, Street Cred, Gig, RAM, Legend—remains common to both versions anyway.

What the set contains
Welcome to Night City features 140 mechanically unique cards: 60 commons, 32 uncommons, 32 rares, 12 epic rares, and 4 secret rares. The 31 iconic rares bring the total to 171 cards for a given print run. The numbering follows the color and then increasing cost: red from approximately 001 to 035, yellow from 036 to 068, green from 069 to 105, and blue from 106 to 140.
A booster pack contains 12 cards: 7 commons, 3 uncommons, and 2 Rare or better slots, which draw randomly from the Rare, Epic Rare, Secret Rare, and Iconic Rare tier. Community-reported rates indicate roughly one Epic Rare every four boosters, one Iconic Rare every eighteen, and one Secret Rare every twenty-four. These figures come from an independent analysis; WeirdCo has never published its own.

The four Secret Rares
These are the least common cards available in booster packs, four for an entire set.
Johnny Silverhand: Rocking Renegade, number 003, is a red Legend by Daniel Valaisis, whose effect costs less for each allied Gig worth 8 or more.
Panam Palmer: Strength Through Family, number 085, is a green 6/6 Unit by Ilya Kuvshinov, which allows you to call a Legend without paying its cost.
Sasha Yakovleva: Won't Let You Down, number 109, is a blue Legend by Łukasz Poller, featuring GO SOLO, and the only character from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime present in the main series of the set.
Judy Álvarez: Nothing to Doubt, number 116, is a blue 6/6 Unit, also by Ilya Kuvshinov, which reveals the top card of the deck and allows it to be played for free.
Each of these four cards has its own Secret Iconic Rare in alternate illustration, numbered β168 to β171, exclusive to the Beta print run.
