Each display contains 24 booster packs of 5 cards each, for a total of 120 fully foil cards: each booster pack guarantees 4 Ultra Rares and 1 Secret Rare. BLGG-FR is a pure value bookbox set, with no common or uncommon cards, designed to upgrade decks and hunt for chibi and extended-art cards. Players who pre-order Battles of Legend: The Glorious Gallery are targeting three main areas.

The first area is extended-art cards. Konami is adding 10 new cards with extended art, following those introduced in Rarity 5 Collection, including Magia Master of Dragons, Red Supernova Dragon, and Dominus Impulse. All are available in Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare versions, making their Starlight versions the top chase in the set for collectors.

The second area is the 10 new chibi cards with alternate art. The set adds Dark Magician Girl, Guide of the Underworld, Evolzar Laggia, Legendary Lord of the Six Samurai - Shi En, Vampire Lord, and Summoned Skull in playable chibi versions. The set also includes a chibi version of Exodia the Forbidden, which instantly becomes a collector's item. All of these chibis are tournament-legal versions, not decorative promotional cards.

The third focus is on new foil versions of previously hard-to-obtain cards. The set includes Anoyatyllis Shadow Puppet El, Majestic Star Dragon Marksman, and the trio Adreus Guardian of Armageddon + Armades Guardian of the Borders + Tiras Guardian of Genesis in brand-new foil versions. For decks that needed a visual upgrade, BLGG-FR fills the historical gaps.

As for new content, The Glorious Gallery adds 40 new cards spread across several archetypes. Shadow Puppet receives a new Continuous Spell Card that lets you Tribute any Shadow Puppet Fusion Monster to Fusion Summon another from the Extra Deck, plus a chibi version of Shadow Puppet Construct El. Stellar Knight gets a new Xyz Monster capable of reaching 5,400 ATK, ignoring opposing effects, and shuffling opposing monsters into the Deck, along with a chibi version of Constellated Ptolemy M7. On the HERO side, Hidden HERO Fountain is revealed from the hand to Special Summon any HERO monster from the hand, adding more depth to the strategy. The set also adds Surprise Fusion, a Spell Card with multiple effects announced as a wildcard. The Robot and Endymion archetypes also receive additions.

On the chasing side, the Starlight Rare cards with the new extended artwork (Dragon Master Magia, Red Supernova Dragon, Dominus Impulse) are the focus of the secondary market, followed by chibi Exodia the Forbidden One and chibi Dark Magician Girl in the collecting category. The box is primarily aimed at players who want to visually update a Shadow Puppet, Stellknight, Masked HERO, or Endymion deck, and at collectors who hunt for chibi cards and Starlight Rare BLGG-FR cards.
