The Mega Evolution Darkest Night Elite Trainer Box (ME05) is the deluxe edition of the fifth main expansion in the Mega Evolution series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on July 17, 2026. Designed for both players who want a complete kit and collectors seeking a premium item, the box brings together everything needed to open, protect, organize, and play with your cards in one product.

In terms of content, the box includes nine Mega Evolution Darkest Night booster packs that grant access to the entire main set of the expansion, including its six Mega Evolution Pokémon-ex led by Mega Darkrai-ex, Mega Zeraora-ex, Mega Chandelure-ex, and Mega Excadrill-ex. The centerpiece of the set is its full-art, foil-covered Zarude promo card, exclusive to this product. Zarude is the Mythical Grass/Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and its full-art version is a collector's item in its own right. The set also includes 65 themed card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a Darkest Night player's guide, 6 damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector's box with 6 dividers, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live. For opening more Darkest Night Mega Evolution booster packs, the Darkest Night 36-booster display and 6-booster pack are also available. The entry-level option is the Darkest Night 3-booster pack in a blister pack. The expansion is available as a Play! Pokémon Early Access release starting July 4, 2026, one week before its official release on July 17.
