Welcome to Night City Beta Event Kit - Preview - EN - Cyberpunk TCG - WeirdCo

The kit contains everything needed to play a sealed tournament without owning a single card. The player opens their six booster packs, chooses three Legends from those provided, and builds a deck of at least 30 cards on the spot. In sealed format, two constraints of constructed decks are removed: Legends do not determine playable colors, and card RAM is not a factor. Therefore, up to three colors can be freely mixed. The recommended official format is three rounds best-of-three, with one hour per round.

The three bonus Legends are drawn from ten characters: Adam Smasher, Royce, Dum Dum, River Ward, Rogue Amendiares, Goro Takemura, Jackie Welles, Panam Palmer, Alt Cunningham, and Judy Álvarez. All bear the Beta symbol.

The Mantis Blades promo is a full-art piece by Ricardo Padierne Silvera, referenced as number 011 in the Pre-Release Beta subset. It's labeled Beta and isn't included in boosters. It also has its uses in-game: Mantis Blades is the most efficient Gear card in the set, providing 1 Eddie for 2 power and 1 RAM, with no text to memorize. The kits used for the October 30th Retail Prereleases contain Retail boosters and a different promo: the two kits are not interchangeable for collectors.

Outside of events, the kit remains a coherent pack, and it's the only product that provides Beta boosters, a card unavailable elsewhere, three Legends, and the essential set of dice needed to play.
