The Hobbit 30 Play Boosters display is the complete format in the line, designed for drafting and for collectors seeking extensive set coverage. Each of the 30 boosters contains 14 Magic cards drawn from the HOB 1-248 range, with one guaranteed traditional premium card and at least one card of rare or higher rarity. The box also includes an exclusive Middle-earth Box Topper, a premium card only available through complete boxes, drawing from Tolkien's expanded mythology with reprints such as The One Ring, Tom Bombadil, and Sauron, the Dark Lord, all three from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth (LTR) expansion released in 2023. This second Magic adventure in Middle-earth adapts J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and brings to life the quest of Bilbo, Gandalf, and Thorin's company, from the Shire to Erebor and the lair of the dragon Smaug. The expansion features the return of the Adventure mechanic, Treasure tokens reflecting the narrative stakes of the gold of Erebor, a Dwarf-themed sub-set, a notable presence of Trolls, and the return of the Sagas.
