The "Rokkettes" make their return in Blast Protocol, alongside the newest "Forbidden" Quick-Play Spell Card: Forbidden Crown!
Depicting the power struggle in the heavens and on earth, the "Forbidden" Quick-Play Spell series dates back to 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth in the series, and currently boasts the most effects!
As they say, "Heavy is the head that wears the crown." The monster targeted by Forbidden Crown is affected by ALL of these effects for the rest of the turn:
Its effects are negated. It cannot attack. It cannot be destroyed. It is unaffected by card effects except its own. It cannot be Tributed or used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Material. And finally, neither player can use monster effects in response to the Crown to try and stop it.
Since the Crown, like any "Forbidden" Quick-Play Card, can be used during either player's turn, you can use it on any friendly or enemy monster, offensively or defensively, depending on the situation. You can stop your opponent's monster effects, disrupt their Summoning strategy by making a monster unusable as Material, or make it indestructible while locked in Attack Position to overpower it again and again and annihilate its Life Points. On the other hand, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card effects, as well as prevent them from being destroyed in battle or used as material by your opponent. With all the possibilities it opens up, it's an excellent card to Set if you go first, as it's always very useful.
It's the Crown for every occasion!
And if anyone knows the weight of a Crown, it's Fallen Angel Morningstar. The Fallen Angels are back! Use Dance of the Fallen Angel to easily Fusion Summon Morningstar (or any other DARK Elf) with materials from your hand, field, or Graveyard (you can even use "Fallen Angels" your opponent controls…) and increase its ATK by 1,000. When Summoned, Fallen Angel Morningstar sets a "Fallen Angel" Spell and a "Fallen Angel" Trap from your Deck. It also gains the usual "Fallen Angel" power, duplicating the effects of "Fallen Angel" Spells and Traps in your Graveyard before shuffling them back into your Deck for reuse.
New "Rokkette" Launch! Use the many powerful "Borrelle" Link Monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS to unleash brand-new "Rokkette" monsters inspired by Varis's strategy in the anime! You can also add a new "Borrelle" Link-5 Monster to your Extra Deck to accompany your fearsome Dragon Finborrelle! If you play your cards right, you might even be able to Summon them together!
If you missed Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem, go back and grab Crowley's latest upgrade (called "Talented Magistus"). The reason is that Spenta, Magistus of Sealing will be making its debut in Blast Protocol! But that's not all—the electrifying Fusion Monster Magistus Omega the Summoned will also be featured in this explosive set!
Mercurium the Living Mercury is a Rank 10 Xyz Monster (Aqua/DARK/ATK 3000/DEF 3000) that attaches a monster from your Deck to itself as material when Xyz Summoned. And while Mercurium has material, your opponent can't activate any monster effects from their Graveyard if you have a monster of the same Attribute in YOUR OWN Graveyard. You must continue to supply Mercurium with new materials to prolong this effect, but as long as you keep him satisfied, you'll be able to completely stifle your opponent's core strategies!
