Vex hates enthusiasm, and his deck clearly demonstrates this. Where Vi seeks explosion, Vex stifles. The gameplay revolves around systematically disrupting the opponent's plan; cards like Existential Dread and Back Off (present in three copies) prevent the opponent from comfortably developing their strategy. Every turn that passes without the opponent gaining the advantage is a turn won for Vex.
The Calm/Chaos runes reflect this duality: Calm protects and stabilizes, Chaos punishes and destabilizes. The battlegrounds—Amateur Recital, Gardens of Becoming, and Ripper's Bay—offer playstyles that reward patience and board reading.
The deck is based on the economy of Sprites (temporary tokens destroyed at the start of each phase) that apply passive pressure, Shadow for blocking, and two copies of Mister Root to lock down the late game. Evelynn Entrancing and Nami Headstrong provide mid-game disruption effects that force the opponent to choose between two bad options. This is the deck for patient players, those who prefer to win through game intelligence rather than brute force, and an excellent counterpoint to Vi for balanced duels from the first game.
