Jayce and Viktor share the same discovery and the same city before diverging on its purpose: progress in service of humanity for one, replacement of humanity for the other. Vendetta pits them against each other on this deck, fifty sleeves each.
The 50/50 split directly benefits the gameplay. A Riftbound player handles two separate decks, the main deck and the rune deck; giving them different backs prevents confusion during the game and makes resetting between rounds faster. Another use is the double protection of a 40-card deck, inner and outer, where the deck itself is sufficient.
