Jayce and Viktor worked on the same discovery before parting ways over what to do with it. Jayce, the Defender of Tomorrow, made Hextech the instrument of Piltover's progress. Viktor, the Machine Herald, concluded that flesh was the flaw to be corrected and launched Glorious Evolution. Neither sees themselves as the villain of the story, which makes their confrontation more interesting than the overt rivalries found elsewhere in the series.

The mat places them face to face in a single illustration: Jayce's hammer on one side, Viktor's staff and its green energy on the other, the collision at the center of the surface. The color palette leans towards twilight blues, making it the darkest mat in the series and the most easy on the eyes during extended play.

The mat is player size 61 × 35 cm. It covers the entire Riftbound playing area: main deck, rune deck, battle cards, and discard pile. Whether in tournaments or at a store, this is the ideal size when everyone brings their own mat.

The high-density fabric surface allows protected cards to glide smoothly, the rubber backing keeps the mat in place, and the stitched edge protects the fibers from wear and tear during transport.

The Vendetta series includes four mats, one for each rivalry, and four packs of card sleeves featuring the same card pairings.
