The Codex Bundle is the most unique product in the Secrets of Strixhaven line. Available only in English and released on May 15, 2026, three weeks after the set's release on April 24, it occupies a special place within the range.
Its contents combine two formats: 2 Collector Boosters and 6 Play Boosters, for a total of 114 cards that cover both the premium and standard segments of the set. The 20 foil lands complete the aesthetic package.
The central element of the Codex Bundle lies in its two borderless foil promo cards, randomly selected from a pool of six exclusive cards. The most iconic is an archaic version of Sol Ring, a visual treatment that echoes the aesthetics of early Magic sets. Since Sol Ring is the most played card in the Commander format (present in almost every deck), a special promo version always attracts the attention of collectors.

The five other possible promos form the Talisman cycle: Talisman of Conviction, Talisman of Creativity, Talisman of Curiosity, Talisman of Hierarchy, and Talisman of Resilience. These two-color mana artifacts are recurring Commander staples, and their borderless foil versions, exclusive to the Codex Bundle, are not found in any other product. The Spindown Codex die, specific to this bundle, completes a set designed as a standalone collectible.
