In The Hobbit, Thrór's map bears moon runes: letters traced with a silver quill, invisible except under the right moonlight, which reveal the location of Erebor's hidden door. Ultimate Guard produced this box using fluorescent RTE material, which charges in the light and glows in the dark. The nod to the original is deliberate, and it's what sets this deck box apart from others in the range.

RTE, for Return to Earth, is the brand's eco-designed line. The box is made in Germany from 78% renewable resources, and the packaging is made from 100% recycled material and is itself recyclable. While this argument is rarely decisive on its own for an accessory, it certainly is when the box is otherwise equally impressive.

It has it: a rigid case, a secure closure that still opens with one hand, and a capacity of 100 double-sleeved cards with Ultimate Guard sleeves, 120 single-sleeved cards, and 210 unsleeved cards.

The 76 × 75 × 98.5 mm format is taller and narrower than the Sidewinder. It's designed for a different storage system: the Boulder fits in the Arkhive, Superhive, and Flip'n'Tray, while the Sidewinder is calibrated for the Omnihive and Smarthive. With the same capacity, the choice between the two therefore depends on the storage box you already own, not on the number of cards.
